The chemicals industry is largely unregulated and as a result, environmental toxins are all around us. These toxins are the source of disease, hormone disruption, fertility issues, developmental problems and more.

It can be daunting trying to discern which products are safe for you and your loved ones and which are not. Particularly when the Food and Drug Administration does very little to protect us. While consumers are becoming more conscious of the correlation between chemicals and disease, sadly, adequate regulations are still not in place to ensure manufacturers are adhering to best practices and considering human health as a factor when formulating their products.
In the European Union, there are approximately 1600 chemicals banned from use in personal care products because of their potentially hazardous effects on human health. In contrast, there are only approximately 11 chemicals banned from use in personal care products in the US. That is why it’s so important to make conscious, mindful choices when buying products that are going to be used in your home and on your body.
